Fortis Bar Holders ™

The Fortis Bar Holders ™

Finally, bar holders for the rest of us! Not all people were meant to fit into a standard rack. These bar holders solve this problem and also allow for longer specialty and Power-lifting bars. Lift without worrying about straining your shoulder or hand injuries. Comfort and safety at last – these bar holders allow you to concentrate on the task at hand – lifting heavy weight.

Chest Supported Row ™

Chest Supported Row ™Typical safety squat bars put the resistance in the high bar squat or front squat positions. We created this bar so that lifters with upper body injuries could use a safety squat bar, but one that places the resistance in the low-bar position on the back. The camber on this bar creates the feeling that the weight is directly over your center of gravity as soon as it is on your back. Lifters have used this bar with great success, even when recovering from upper back, shoulder or arm injuries while preparing for competitions. There are multiple hand position options. This bar is also great for good mornings, lunges and other related exercises.

Congratulations Dain Wallis

HE’S BACK!!!

dain-wallis-2

Huge congratulations to Dain Wallis for his incredible full sweep victory and title of Canada’s Strongest Man under 175 lbs. this past weekend in Saskatchewan –

CAASA Saskatchewan- Amateur Strongman/woman

Months of battling back after a serious knee injury have resulted in this awesome achievement.  This Dude was in the gym the day after a medical procedure, on crutches to “work his upper body” while seated on the floor.  Persistence and perseverance pay off!

ON TO THE WORLDS!

Fortis Fitness BBQ

Our gym was honored this weekend with strength legend visitors including:

Ed Coan, Matt Wenning, Charles Poliquin, Paul Carter and Ken Kinaken.  All here for a 3 day seminar, the only one to take place in North America.

So…..we threw a barbecue!  In our world of strength and performance, and on this particular weekend, this was likely the best place to be in the entire world.

Great thanks to all of these guys for visiting, the seminar attendees and all of our fine members.  Much appreciated!

The Fortis Incline Bench Press ™

The Fortis Incline Bench Press ™ A revolutionary incline bench press. It is simply the safest, most effective bench press available. Tried and tested at our gym for years. The Fortis Bench Press is inherently safe because you can bench and attempt to bench heavy weight with no fear whatsoever. You will never need or want “spotters”. The moving bar holders allow for optimum shoulder health when un-racking the bar. The Fortis Bench Press is highly effective because now you can lift with total intensity since you will be completely confident that you are safe. Now you will truly test yourself and safely try that one extra rep.
