Adam Tacaks WINS the ACU (Association of Canadian Ultra-marathoners) 100KM
National Championship! He lead the race the entire time, and won by 23min! There was an unexpected construction detour that added an extra 10Km. His total running time was 8:47.
Adam lends some of his success this year his change in diet. “Training my body to become fat adapted has made the difference. I ran this race with a total of 850 calories of a fat/carb/protein blend, finishing the race as strong as starting it. While in the past would need about 1400-1600cal of sugar to keep going strong and most likely fading towards the end. Thank you Fortis!”
Thank you, Adam. This is an astounding athletic feat and you are an inspiration!
